I have to admit, I absolutely love sucking on bones. Growing up, my family made bone marrow seem like it was a health tonic, encouraging me to eat it for its benefits, much like bone broth. My dad used to give it to us as if it were a daily vitamin. At first, I didn’t like the idea, but he’d spoon-feed it to us, adding lime juice and hot sauce, treating it almost like an oyster shot—and it was delicious! Over time, I became the kid asking others if they didn’t want their bones. I loved it so much that I preferred the marrow over the meat!
